Plastic pollution has become a global crisis, impacting ecosystems, wildlife, and human health. As we confront this challenge, effective strategies and collaborative efforts are important in reducing its adverse effects. Communityled clean-up campaigns, recycling programs, and waste reduction initiatives contribute to broader environmental goals.

Improving waste management infrastructure is essential for effective plastic waste reduction. This includes investing in advanced sorting technologies, expanding recycling facilities, and implementing comprehensive waste collection programs. Enhancing the efficiency of waste management systems can increase recycling rates and reduce plastic leakage into the environment.

Highlight successful legislative measures worldwide, focusing on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), Plastic bans, and incentives for sustainable packaging. Discuss the role of education, public awareness campaigns, and grassroots movements in promoting behaviour change and reducing plastic consumption.
