BIOREMEDIATION OF SELLA-RICE PLANT EFFLUENT
The disposal of Sella-rice plant effluent has become a serious problem. It is a major environmental pollutor. The samples of effluent were collected from three Sella-rice plants located in Haryana. Using three different types of media, 130 isolates were isolated and characterized. Only 4 bacterial isolates were found to show high efficiency far utilization of starch in presence of peptone and yeast extract. The bioremediation of Sella-rice effluent by using selected bacterial isolates under laboratory conditions. These bacterial isolates were reduced the amount of starch, COD and BOD after 12 days of incubation.
